Thoughts and Events from the TEAM ON THE ROAD:

The Lighthouse Church: Toledo, OH (September 18th-20th)

The closing stop during our Ohio portion of the tour was in Toledo,Ohio.  It was the shortest stop throughout our travels there, leaving us with the desire to stay with this precious group of people just a little bit longer.  Our first day consisted of getting down and dirty while cleaning the new addition of their church.  We swept, tidied, and laid down covering on the floor, and exited the building that day looking like we had just come out of a flour factory.

The second day at Lighthouse was spent enjoying the company of the church staff and painting/designing materials for their newest missions  campaign.  We led their Wednesday night youth service, where the Lord came in a special way and met intimately with the youth.  One of the testimonies that we heard from that evening were that the youth responded more openly and enthusiastically during worship than ever before.  During the worship set He met and dealt with hearts in a special way, challenging all of us to surrender our hurts and our pains, and stepping out in faith to embrace what He desired to do in our lives.

The youth we met were absolutely amazing and it was an honor to be able to meet the Lord with them there.  He is faithfuly revealing Himself more and more throughout our travels and this visit was just another glimpse into the heart of our amazing King.  He is truly worthy of our praise, our worship, and our service.

Mt Zion Camp (June 8th-15th)

Our time at Mt Zion was a very memorable part of the summer.  Perhaps some of that had to do with the fact that it was the first extended leg of our summer tour.  We found a very welcoming and loving extension of the family of God at this campground.  Not only did we get to minister with them through worship, drama, and the word, but we also got to work alongside them and complete the painting of two of their buildings.  There was an amazing group of young people that came to help us each day, bringing with them great attitudes and funny stories, and creating a lot of laughter along the way.  We were hosted by several of the families in the area, and found each one to be a unique blessing -- not only was the food amazing, but their hearts revealed a reflection of the love of Christ that we had not seen before.

The Lord faithfully revealed Himself to the hearts of the youth that we ministered to.  Friday night we ministered to a local group of teenagers and many presented themselves at the altar, seeking to discover further the Lord's will for their lives and asking that He would make Himself more real to them than ever before.  It was awesome to see the ways in which the Lord would move throughout the services.  But even more than that was how faithful He was to reveal Himself during our one-on-one interactions with the people at Mt Zion.  Whether it was during a volleyball game, painting the walls of the outbuildings (or even better -- painting each other), playing cards in the kitchen, or just chilling in the living room, God was there.

His Thousand Hills: Wellsboro, PA (week one -- June 17th-22nd)

"Jehovah bless you and keep you; Jehovah cause His face to shine on you, and be gracious to you; Jehovah lift up His face to you, and give you peace. So they shall put My name on the sons of Israel, and I Myself will bless them."  Numbers 6:24-27 LITV

This was our week at His Thousand Hills.  From the moment the kids entered the camp, we felt the Lord's peace and strength lifting us up. Day in and day out God had moments with the boys and girls in each cabin. There were nights when we had opportunity to talk with the kids on a very personal level, discussing many things, including the plans that God had for their future.  God is so amazing and we were blessed to be able to be a part of that at His Thousand Hills.

His Thousand Hills: Wellsboro, PA (week two -- June 24th-29th)

We had an amazing time in Wellsboro, PA at His Thousand Hills Camp. There were around eighty-five kids from ages 6-12 years old.  We were counselors which was a wonderful experience because we were able to really get to know the kids that we were with, and impart to them many of the things that God had done in our lives. Many of the kids chose to invite Jesus into their hearts for the first time and several others chose to follow Him no matter what the cost.

The worship time with the campers was great as well. We experienced the kids getting excited and doing the motions to the songs with us along with some of them dropping to their knees just to seek God's face.  It was a privilege to share this experience with all of the kids. God did an amazing work in the lives of the children and in our lives as well. We were truely blessed to be a part of such an awesome ministry.

EBI Camp Meeting: Lima, NY (July 1st-4th)

From July 1-4, Kingdom Force had the opportunity to help out with the youth services at Elim's annual camp meeting.  God moved in many lives through the worship and messages of the various people involved with the services. We were privileged to be there, and had a great time ministering.

There were services every morning and evening where Kingdom Force and One Foot Forward (another worship band) were responsible for the worship times.  We did a game for every service and had a lot of fun with the youth.  There was an activity each afternoon such as canoe races, ultimate frisbee, soccer, go-karting, putt-putt, etc.  We were also able to do a few skits and dramas that were applicable to the sermons each day.

All in all, it was a great time where we had the opportunity to show God's love to each and every person there.
