Pivot Ministries: Bridgeport, CT (September 29th-October 5th)

A new state!!  Woohoo!!  The team is very excited each time we get to see a new place and a new group of people.  There is always a bit of anticipation, wondering what type of ministry we will encounter and what new adventures we will find along the way.  Our week at Pivot ministries was full of several firsts, amongst them being our first opportunity to be on the radio.  The ministry hosts a half hour radio segment each week in which they honored us by hosting us as their special guests.  It was very exciting to be able to share our
stories of our travels with the radio listeners and to be able to say for the first time, "Yes!  I have been on the radio!"

Along with this, we ministered to the men during two of their chapel services, where the Lord met us once again in a very special way.  His presence has been so sweet these past few weeks and it has been a blessing to be able to stand alongside our newly acquainted brothers and sisters and worship Him with them.  We were warmly welcomed and treated with extravagant kindness while we stayed with these brothers. 

Another first for all the team members was the opportunity to petition outside the local abortion clinic in the town.  It was a difficult experience for all of us as we realized the deaths that were occurring inside the building we were standing outside of.  The hearts of many of the people at the clinic were hardened to the words that were spoken to them, but we did witness one woman's decision to keep her baby, and heard of the many testimonies the church had of other women who had made the same decision.

Connecticut was a week filled with firsts -- some very encouraging and some harder to swallow.  But even in the difficulties, the Lord still shows His faithfulness and teaches us something new with each stop we make.  We have been traveling for almost five months now, but there are times when it seems like the journey has only just begun.
