Eddyville Community Church: Eddyville, NY (October 25th-29th)

Eddyville was at the height of the fall season during our stay there.  While we traveled to the church it was amazing to view the many bright oranges, reds, and yellows of the countryside.  Located well off the "beaten path" we were welcomed sweetly by the pastor and his wife, who proceeded to feed us some of the most amazing meals we have had while on the road.

Our first assignment for the weekend was to help rake up walnuts on a neighboring property.  We were greatly blessed by the couple who owned the land and were encouraged by the presence and the calling the Lord has on their life.  Friday night we led a family service for the church which was followed on Saturday by an all day youth day.  We played extreme spoons with the teens as well as many other games and had fun hanging out with them and teaching them from the Word.

Sunday morning and evening we led services and were greatly blessed by the response of the congregation.  Their hearts possessed a hunger and desire to know the Lord more intimately and we left assured of the Lords promise to meet with those who desire to draw near to Him.
